Also for any event we hold in the county, the county dems have a liability insurance policy and we can use it, we just have to ask.

County picnic is at the Morales estate in Bothell. 18411 51st ave and there is a sign over the drive way marked Hilly Acres. Festivities begin at 1pm Aug 11th. BYOB.

The State Fair is being coordinated by Richard Morales, Josh Brunner and Sal Castruita. Early set up is Aug 22nd and break down is on labor day after 6pm. If you want to volunteer for a shift or help with set up/ tear down we can get you in touch with them. Reminder that the day that the 21st is manning the booth is a chance for us to raise funds, register voters, teach folks about our candidates and recruit members.

The Blue Wave Gala event – Sept 29th @ the Everett Yacht Club with Key note speaker Bob Ferguson. If you want to donate tickets to help those who can’t afford it that is also welcome. The county would like to see most of the funds raised from the Gala to go to endorsed candidates running in races where they are trying to flip a red seat. Awards that normally get presented at the Gala will be presented at the general meeting that same afternoon instead. If you want to contribute to the wine pull, silent auction, and or dessert dash, please contact Diana McGinnis at chair@44thdems.org

Also regarding fundraising, if you can afford it, please sign up for recurring donation to the county on actblue. 5 dollars a month would really make a difference.

Coordinated campaign if you want to canvas, phone bank, or sign wave please contact the coordinated campaign 1st. Their office is at 111 Hewitt Ave or you can call Sofie at 425-677-7592

County’s PCO outreach are working on a handout and a tool kit for PCOs

County’s Diversity committee meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7 in the labor temple if that interests you. They are looking to change the name of the committee and would like to see this change throughout the county to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion committee.

The county is also considering live streaming of meetings. They have asked us to get the opinion of each LD. If you want to submit your concerns or support, please write those thoughts down and turn them in to me.

Lastly, the county is wanting to form their bylaws committee for the upcoming reorg if you are interested in working on our bylaws then your presence is requested at the county level.
