Our mission is to empower democrats to take an active role in local, state and national elections, increase voter participation, and recruit and support great candidates that embrace Democratic values.
The 21st Legislative District Democrats is a member driven organization. That means the membership, not leadership, has ultimate responsibility for the success and direction of the organization.
Our Officers donate their time and effort to help coordinate and organize the efforts of the membership. They freely give of their time to help make a real difference!
Our elected representative are our voice in the political process. Our representatives care about their constituents and look for ways to connect with them, both in and out of meetings.
Our Executive Board
Our executive board helps plan and coordinate the activities of the 21st. They come from a variety of backgrounds and have a diverse set of beliefs, but are united in their desire to contribute to a stronger organization, in any way they can.
Micah serves as Chair of the 21st LD and the Second Vice Chair of the Snohomish County Democrats. He is a member of the National Association of Parliamentarians, an ocean conservationist, and a technology professional.
Christine is a long time patron and promoter of the arts in our community. Her passion for art is second only to her passion for helping create the change in our political system that we so rightly deserve.
Bret was one of the founders of the Hamilton electors movement and is a strong fighter for progressive values. He is a strong fighter and has a great deal of experience in organizing and promoting democratic values.
A native of Texas, Ms. DeVillier is a no nonsense, tenacious advocate for the underprivileged. When not keeping our elected officials honest, Michelle is active in other local organizations that are working to help reach the same goals.
Simone Gomes immigrated to the United States from Brazil. After obtaining her citizenship, she devoted her life to helping immigrants in the college education system to find a pathway to citizenship. She also serves as the State Committeewoman for Snohomish County.
Shaun provides a wealth of knowledge and years of experience in the Democratic party. A national delegate in 2016, he was elected to the Mukilteo School Board in 2017.
Sharon has served as both vice chair and chair of the 21st Legislative District Democrats and is currently representing the district at the meetings of the Washington State Democratic Central Committee.
Though still in high school, Niko Battle has a proven track record of shaking things up in the political world. He is a nationally ranked member of his debate team and is currently representing the 21st and the Snohomish County Democratic Central Committee.
Rose is a tireless worker for progressive democratic ideals and has been a constant presence at the Snohomish County Democratic Central Committee first as a member and now as our representative.
Want to join us?
The first step in getting involved is to become a member. Membership is open to all persons of legal voting age living in the 21st Legislative District. Limited memberships are available for those that live outside the 21st LD, but wish to participate in our organization, some restrictions apply. Membership dues are currently $25/year and are used to help cover the costs of the district.
