This year’s Gala is already in the planning stages. Mark your calendars for August 10th at the Edmonds Yacht Club.

The Fair committee is asking LDs to help pay for the booth at the Evergreen State Fair at $500 each – this is something the body needs to decide on approving.

The SCDCC office at the labor temple is available for committee meetings so if any of our committees need a place to meet, that is a free option.

We should consider adding an ad-hoc or liaison committee to our ranks regarding accountability. Over the last couple of meetings it has become apparent that elected officials we endorsed have not completely been holding up our platform. An accountability committee is something this body should consider forming and at the county level to coordinate members to go to the meetings of our elected officials to make sure they keep our democratic values in mind when they make choices on our behalf.

We need two members to participate at the county level on the endorsements committee.

If this is something you’d like to do and need help reaching Michael Brewer, please let me know and I’ll get you connected.

Stephanie Vignall the SCDCC 2nd Vice Chair is working on Women Empowerment. If you would like to learn more about this and want to get involved, please let me know and I can get your connected.

The county diversity committee meets every 1st Tuesday of the Month at the SCDCC office at the labor temple.

March 30th the 1st LD is hosting an Issues Forum.

National Day of Action – April 6th for Clinic Defenders and Abortion Defense – this will be at 8:30 at the Everett Planned Parenthood hosted by Janes.
