2019 is a big year for Washington State Politics for a lot of reasons. We have hundreds of local races to focus on, and a bench to build in anticipation for the 2020. However, one of the biggest decisions might be just how the next year will look for those of us at the local level. The Washington State Democrats will be reviewing and looking at how we allocate delegates and choose our presidential nominee. There’s been a lot of discussion about the two plans that are being reviewed at the state level at our local LD meetings. However, these’s only so much time at each meeting to dig into the meat and bones for this big of a decision. The feedback we’ve been hearing at the county level made the decision on how to handle this easy. We need more time to ask more questions and learn more about our options!
We hear you loud and clear, Snohomish.
On March 11th, members from both the Caucus Improvement Committee and the Hybrid Caucus/Primary proposition will be coming to the Everett Labor Temple to present both options and answer your questions. We will be hosting them from 7pm – 9pm in the Workers Memorial Room (with doors opening at 6:30).
Unable to make it out but would still like to participate? We will also be offering the ability to digitally call in via Zoom video conferencing to watch and participate. You may also e-mail us back with questions you would like answered at the event should neither of those options work for you.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions, and as always if you could spare a few bucks to help cover the costs of the event would would appreciate it.
Chair, Snohomish County Democrats
