Continued from March 26th Board Meeting…
SnoCo Dems are now utilizing Zoom for more inclusion during meetings.
They do have a few special meeting in the works:There will be some early endorsements at the 4/20 General meeting – Everett Labor Temple in the basement meeting room 10 a.m. There will be a May (Tentatively the 18th) for an official Endorsements meeting where that is the only business that will be conducted at that time. Nominations will be allowed from the floor.
A special meeting will be called for County Bylaws as Ivan Lewis has taken the time to revamp the whole thing and weed out the standing rules. If you would like to join Ivan in his first committee meeting, please let me know so I can see if he has scheduled this meeting as he wants at least one member of every LD to participate.
The Board did pass a motion for all LDs to participate in the Evergreen State Fair and we agreed a double booth is what we are going to hang onto. As a body – the 21st did approve the budget that included the $500 we need to contribute to pay for the $3500 booth. We need volunteers to be there on our allotted day. Let this board know if you are interested. This body also needs to come up with fun fund raising ideas while manning the booth.
The board also passed a motion that members serving on the endorsements committee and are running for office or running someone’s campaign shall recuse themselves from participating on endorsement evaluations for that particular race.
